W eird fact: Most tractor fires happen in winter. People leave th ei r equipment running to avoid the difficulty of restarting a large displacement diesel in the cold, as well as to keep the cab warm. Also, rodents are most interested in tractor c abs during cold weather. R unning tractor plus rodents = electrical fire... or, leaky fuel line causes engine fire, where in warmer weather the engine would be shut off.
Also interesting, the reason you so rarely see vintage tractors with cabs ISNT’T because people didn’t buy cab tractors years ago, it’s that the vintage cab tractors have mostly been destroyed in fires and the ones without cabs are all that’ s left.
